Mallorca airport

The airport is about 8 kilometers outside the city of Palma. There were over 22.5 million people travelling to or from the airport 2012.


I do recommend to make a booking with a shuttleservice. It is very conveniet, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your preferd drop-off point and you dont have to negotiate the price. There are some companys that offer this service, for exampel Hoppa.

Bus Mallorca

City bus line #1 drives between the airport and Central Palma. It stops at many places along the route that are of interest to tourists.

The bus departs about 4 times an hour from the airport between 06.00 and 01.50. It departs from the city about 4 times an hour from 05.30 until 02.10. These times are during high season.

The bus costs 2.50 euro. You find a link below with all stops.


City bus line #21 drives from the airport to different hotells allong the Palmabeach. It departs about 2 times an hour from 07.00 until 01.00 at high season. At low season the last bus departs 22.10 from the airport and 21.30 to the airport.

The price is 2.50 euro. Below you find a link to the hotells where the bus stops.


Shuttlebus Mallorca

You can take a Shuttlebus from the airport to your destination. It means you share a minivan witch other people but still will be droped of where you prefer. It is cheaper then taxi but takes i little bit more time.

Taxi Mallorca

Allways use taxis from the marked taxiranks. Avoid other people asking if you need taxi. A taxi to the city centre takes about 20 minutes and costs around 20 euro.

Rent a car Mallorca

There are some companies that have informationdesks at the arrivalshall.

You can rent from Budget, Avis, Europcar and Hertz.



To and from Gran Canaria airport

Gran Canaria airport is about 18 kilomteres outside the city Las Palmas and 25 kilometres from the south where most of the tourists travel. There was 10 million people travelling to or from Gran Canaria airport 2012.


I do recommend to make a booking with a shuttleservice. It is very conveniet, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your preferd drop-off point and you dont have to negotiate the price. There are some companys that offer this service, for exampel Hoppa.

Bus
Intercity bus #60 drives between the airport and Las Palmas.

It leaves the airport twice an hour from 06.00 until 20.15 and then 21.15, 22.15 and 23.15.

It leaves San Telmo busstation and Santa Catalina in Las Palmas twice an hour from 05.45 until 20.00 and then 21.40 and 22.40.

The price is 2.30 euro to San Telmo and 2.95 euro to Santa Catalina.

Intercity bus #66 drives between the airport and Faro de Maspalomas. It also stops in Playa del Ingles and Bahia Feliz.

The bus leaves the airport twice an hour from 06.20 until 19.20. To the airport it leaves twice an hour from 07.20 until 20.20.

The price is 2.75 euro to Bahia Feliz, 3.50 euro to Playa del Ingles and 4.05 euro to Faro de Maspalomas.

Intercity bus #90 drives from the airport to Faro de Maspalomas and Telde via Arguinegun, Playa del Ingles and Bahia Feliz.

The bus leaves every hour in both directions. The first bus to Faro de Maspalomas leaves at 06.30 and the last leaves at 20.30. The first bus to Telde leaves at 08.00 and the last leaves at 22.00.

Intercity bus #91 drives from the airport to Las Palmas and Playa del Cura. It also stops in Arguinegun, Patalavaca and Puerto Rico.

The bus leaves to Las Palmas every hour from 06.30 until 22.35 monday to friday and 07.35 until 20.35 satarday and sunday.

The first bus to Playa del Cura leaves at 06.15 and the last leaves at 20.15.

The bus costs 2.30 euro to Las Palmas, 4.95 euro to Arguinegun, 5.25 euro to Patalavaca and 5.45 euro to Playa del Ingles.

Intercity bus #5 drives between the airport, Las Palmas and Maspalomas. It also stops in Bahia Feliz.

This bus is a nightbus. The price to Las Palmas is 2.30 euro, to Bahia Feliz 2.75 euro and to Maspalomas 4.05 euro.

Taxi
Use the market taxiranks at the airport. A taxi to Las Palmas costs about 30 euro, to Playa del Ingles 24 euro, Maspalomas 36 euro and Puerto Rico 40 euro.

To and from Malaga airport

Malagas airport is about 8 kilometers outside the city centre. It is the main airport if you are going to the Spanish sunshine coast. There was 12.5 million people travelling to or from Malagas airport 2012.

There are 3 terminals at the airport. However it is very easy to transfer between the terminals so i do not split up terminal by terminal.


I do recommend to make a booking with a shuttleservice. It is very conveniet, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your preferd drop-off point and you dont have to negotiate the price. There are some companys that offer this service, for exampel Hoppa.

Train
The trainstation is outside terminal 3. There are trains both to Malaga City and other places along the Sunshine coast. There are trains to däribland Torremolinos, Benalmadena-A.de la Miel and Fuengirola to name a few.

The train departs twice an hour from the airport to Malaga City centre from 07.01 until 23.45. It also departs twise an hour from Malaga to the airport starting at 05.45 and the last train at 22.30.

The train between the airport and Fuengirola  leaves the airport twice an hour from 05.58 until 22.43. The first train from Fuengirola leaves at 06.33 and the last 23.15.

The train to Malaga takes about 15 minutes and costs 1.60 euro. To Fuengirola it is 30 minutes and 2.50 euro. You buy your tickets in ticketmachines at the stations.

Bus
A Express line #75 drives between the airport and Malaga City. The bus leaves from terminal 3 and stops at BusStation and Plaza del General Torrijos in Malaga.

The bus leaves about 2 times an hour and takes 15 minutes. The price is 2 euro and you buy tickets on the bus.

Bus M-128 drives from the airport, terminal 3, to different hotels and appartments in Torremolinos and Benalmadena.

The first bus from the airport is at 09.00 monday to friday and 08.00 at weekends. The last bus from the airport is at 20.30. The first bus to the airport is at 06.30 and the last at 19.30.

It takes about 30 minutes to Torremolinos and 50 minutes to Benalmadena. The bus leaves with 1-2 hours differnce and costs 3.55 euro.

Avanzabus have a line connecting the airport, terminal 3, with Marbella busstation. The bus takes about 45 minutes and costs 8 euro.

The bus leaves the airport at: 07.15, 08.15, 09.15, 10.15, 11.30, 13.15, 15.15, 15.30, 17.00, 19.15 and 21.15.

The bus leaves Marbella at: 08.15, 10.15, 11.30, 12.00, 12.30, 14.15, 15.00, 16.15, 18.00, 18.50, 20.15 and 22.30.

Avanzabus also have a line to Estepona. The journey takes 1 hour 15 minutes and costs 10.50 euro. The bus leaves the airport, terminal 3, at 11.30 and 18.50. It leaves Estepona at 07.45 and 15.00.

Avanzabus have a longdistance bus to Algeciras. It leaves the airport, terminal 3, at 11.30 and 18.50. It leaves Algeciras at 07.00 and 14.15. It takes 1 hour 55 minutes and costs 16.50 euro.

Alsa have a bus to Sevilla and Granada. The bus leaves from terminal 3.

To and from Stanstead airport

Stansted airport is about 50 kilometres outside Londons city centre.



I do recommend to make a booking with a shuttleservice. It is very conveniet, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your preferd drop-off point and you dont have to negotiate the price. There are some companys that offer this service, for exampel Hoppa.

Train
Stansted Express drives between the airport and Central London. It stops at Liverpool and takes between 45-60 minutes.

A single adult ticket is 22.50 pound and a return ticket is 31.50 pound. You buy your tickets at the station.

At Liverpool Street station you buy your tickets from platform 5-6 and at the airport there are ticket machines near the ticketoffice, at platform 1 and one near the the escalator between platform 1b och 3b.

The train also stops at Tottenham Hale where you can change to underground Victoria Line.

The first train departs from the airport at 05.30 and then up to 4 trains an hour until about midnight.

The first train from Liverpool Street departs at 04.10 and the up to 4 times an hour until about 23.30

CrossCountry train connects Stansted with cities like Cambridge, Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham.

In Peterborough you can change train to go to till Leeds, York, Newcastle and Scotland. If you change train in Leicester you can go to Derby and Sheffield.

Bus
Stansteds busterminal faces the main entrance of the terminal building. You can by bustickets from the desk in the arrivals hall between 06.00 and 01.00. You can also buy tickets at the busstaion or at the bus.

National Express have two lines to Central London.

National Express A6 is to Victoria in London. It departs up to 6 times an hour and takes between 85-100 minutes. A ticket is 10.50 pound.

National Express A9 is to Stratford and Liverpool Street 2 times an hour and it takes between 45-60 minutes. A ticket is 8.50 pound.

National Express also connects other cities all over the country. For exampel Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Ipswich and Colchester. You find out more about National Express busses in the link below.


Terravision have three lines to Central London.

Terravision A50 leaves the airport up to twice an hour for Victoria. The journey takes about 75 minutes and costs 9 pound.

Terravision A51 leaves the aiport up to twice an hour for Liverpool Street. The journey takes about 55 minutes och costs 9 pound.

Terravision A52 leaves up to twice an hour for Stratford. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs 6 pound.

Taxi
There are no waiting taxis at Stansted. You can make a reservation at the desk in the arrivals hall or call before to make a reservation. You make your reservation by calling 01279 662444 eller 0870 224 5000.

A taxi to Central London is about 100 pound for 1-4 persons. Ask about the price before you depart.

Gatwick is Englands second biggest airport and is just 44 kilometers outside central London.

There are two terminals at Gatwick airport so I split it between the South terminal and the north terminal. There is a free shuttle between the terminals.

South terminal


Train
Gatwick Express is a non-stop train from the airport to Victoria Station in Central London. It departs every 15 minutes at peak times and takes about 30 minutes.

A single ticket is £18.90. You can buy your ticket at the ticketoffice in the arrivals hall at the airport.


First Capital Connect have a train to London Bridge from the airport. The train departs every 15 minutes at peak times and takes about 30 minutes. It also stops at City Thameslink, Blackfriars and Farringdon among others.

You can buy your ticket at the arrivals hall at the airport and in ticketmachines and ticketoffice at London Bridge station. A single ticket is £18.

They also have a train to Brighton. It departs every 15 minutes at peak times.

Southernrailway have a train between the airport and Victoria Station, and London Bridge station in Central London. The train departs every now and then in both directions.

National Express
 have busses to more then 400 destinations across the country. Just to mention some of them they have busses to Centrala London, Brighton, Nottingham, Bradford, Heathrow Airport and Stansted Airport.

National Express #25 and  #27 drives to Victoria Station in Central London. It takes about 1.5 hour and a single ticket is about £6.5.

National Express #700 drives between Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport. The journey takes about 1h 20 minutes. A single ticket is £17.

National Express #717 drives between Gatwick Airport and Stansted airport. The bus also stops at Heathrow airport. The bus takes about 1.5h to Heathrow and 3h to Stansted.

The Airline have a bus to Oxford from Gatwick. The traveltime is between 2 and 2.5h depending on the traffic.

The bus departs Gatwick at 01.00, 03.00, 05.00, 07.15  then every hour until 20.15, 22.00 and 24.00.

A single ticket is £25. A 3 months return ticket is £35. Children half price.


Easyjet have a bus to Earls Court in London. They welcome all passengers, not just the ones who are flying with Easyjet.

Dublin airport is about 10 kilometers from the City Center. There was about 19 miljon people flying to or from Dublin Airport las year (2012).

Dublin Bus #747 drives between the airport and Heuston trainstation via O'Connell St and Central bus station.


Airlink #747 drives between the airport and Heuston trainstation via O'Connel St, Connolly trainstation och Central bus station among others. Airlink is a faster bus because it uses a turnpike tunnel on its way to the city centre. The bus cost 6 Euro.


Aircoach Ballsbridge/Donnybrook drives from the airport to different stops in the city center and then back to the airport. It stops at O'Connel St, Grafton St, Merrion Square north, Northumberland Rd and Pembroke Rd. You find a link below with all the stops.


The bus leaves the airport two times an hour from 05.00 to 00.00. It leaves once an hour during the night.

It leaves from the City Center as most four times an hour from 07.00 to 21.00. On other times it leaves less often.
